Permits

Permits to add a pergola to your home

Why deprive yourself of the well-being that a pergola offers? We often ask ourselves if permits are needed to install a pergola, pergotenda or awning in our home. Now we finally have a certain answer, supported by the Infrastructure-Simplification Decree. Point 50 of Annex 1 governs that "the installation, repair, replacement, renewal of awnings, pergolas, light furnishing covers is officially Free Building Activity." This means that it is possible to install a pergola in your home without the obligation to notify the municipality (Cil, Cila, Scia) or building permits, without prejudice to the rights of third parties. The decree entered into force on April 22, 2018, after its publication in the Official Gazette No. 81 of April 7, 2018.
